Happy Father’s Day! Sharing today’s Father’s Day dessert with you. My friend Priska is a great host and one of my favourite things she makes is her delicious strawberry tarts. I dare you to just eat one! Or three! Can’t wait to devour them!
Ingredients
4 cups fresh or frozen strawberries (I used 3 of those small, green baskets of them and had some left for more)
1 ½ cups water
3/4 cup white sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 x 3 ounce box of strawberry jello (the secret ingredient!)
24 tart shells (buy them or make them)
Bake tart shells and let cool.
Husk, wash and halve strawberries. Divide between cooled shells.
Combine water, sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring until mixture is thick and clear. Add the package of jello and stir until dissolved. Pour (ladle) cooked mixture over berries.
Cool tarts in refrigerator for at least an hour to set. Serve with whip cream!
I read your blog post as I ate a tart! Perfect!!
They look delicious!! 😁
