Like Father with Kristen Bell, Kelsey Grammer and Seth Rogen is another fun Netflix original. Although it did not get great reviews from actual critics, I really liked it and I think it is a great Father’s Day weekend movie. The characters are very imperfect and it is a good reminder that while those closest to us often disappoint us, we can choose forgiveness. This film does not require you to do anything but relax and enjoy it!
Another great movie to watch this weekend is one of my favourite movies of all time, A River Runs Through It. Tom Skerritt plays the ultimate patriarch in this movie about family bonds and (a similar theme) loving someone in spite of their imperfections. We watch Brad Pitt and Craig Scheffer navigate their relationship as they grow up as brothers living in remote Montana. It is a funny, touching and somewhat haunting film.
