I love buying gifts for people. I also love making gift suggestions. Just say the word gift around me and my adrenaline starts pumping. Blankets might just be the number one gift I select for people. My favourite blanket was given to me as a gift and it is proudly displayed on my favourite couch.  Blankets make great gifts because of what they offer – comfort and warmth. What better gift could you give someone?

Klippan Lamb’s Wool Blankets

These blankets can be purchased at Bradshaws. I was given mine as a gift. I don’t know if I would have ever indulged on one for myself so I was very grateful someone (Lisa) was thoughtful (and generous) enough to give me one. These would make a lovely and special wedding gift. Sometimes things seem too nice to use but I say enjoy it. To clarify, I am the only one in my house allowed to enjoy this blanket.

Fouta Blankets from Wills and Prior

I have one. I bought my mom one. And I have given it as a new baby gift. These handcrafted blankets can be used as indoor/outdoor blankets, baby blankets, beach or bath towels, table cloths or picnic blankets  They dry quickly and are sand resistant. I love them! We take ours everywhere with us! It comes to the beach, it comes in the car, it comes to all sporting events..we basically do not leave the house without it.

Chapter’s Luxe Faux-Fur Blankets

These blankets had to make this list. First, because they are inexpensive and comfy and wash really well. But more importantly, one of these blankets has been with Chloe EVERY night of her life. She has never had a sleep without ‘Blankie’.

And Not to be Forgotten are No-Sew Blankets

I have made every member of my family, many nieces and nephews, friends and all of our exchange students. They are warm and cozy and when we travel out of town, the kids love them for the car ride.

I know summer is here but blankets make great gifts anytime!
