The Big Sick is the funny and moving true story about Pakistani comedian Kumail Nanjiani, his white girlfriend, her illness and their families.  A great movie to watch alone, with your friends or for a stay-at-home date night. There is one scene that I couldn’t believe I was watching as it captured a VERY similar situation from when I was first dating Eric. Watch for the scene where Emily tries to leave for a coffee, by herself, in the middle of the night.

I loved it. Just writing about it makes me want to watch it again.

It used to be on Netflix, but now I think you can find it on Amazon Prime Video or on iTunes. I miss video stores!!!
